Mission (not so) impossible

Thanks to the new Slendertone belt doing quite frankly miraculous things to my waist, I could no longer keep my jeans up. Now I’m sure most people would be glad of the opportunity to go shopping but I actually loathe shopping for jeans. I’m really not that fussy or at least I don’t think I am but it always turns out to be mission impossible for me. Skinny enough that they don’t flap around my ankles or go baggy on my knees, not so low that I’m flashing my knickers at the world or indeed so high that they give me a big square mum bum *shudder* That’s not too much to ask, is it?

But then right on cue the new Boden catalogue landed on my doormat and having heard so many people rave about their skinnies, I figured they had to be worth a try. I won’t lie, the thought of being able to try them on at home rather than contort myself in a changing room before falling into a depressed heap was very appealing. As was the ten percent off discount code. Thanks for that Johnnie you old temptress you! So order them I did. Of course the law of sod meant that they arrived on Saturday so I couldn’t get away with the these old things? line on Mr Mostly. Gah! Nor could I really get away with really needing the two tops I ordered at the same time as the jeans. Oops! What can I say? I am weak. I defy anyone not to be distracted by a Boden sale.. Or indeed resist the gorgeousness of the new season stuff..

The skinny jeans fit like an absolute dream and I can’t believe that I haven’t tried them before now I am kicking myself! I got them in indigo this time but I will definitely be back to buy more in different colours. The grey Brondesbury top is quite plain but it’s one of those tops that I know I will wear lots. Plus it was in the sale so it would have been rude not to! And as for the pink Sophie lace top, it is ridiculously pretty in the flesh. It is part of the new season collection which is quite honestly all bloody gorgeous. If I could order one of everything in every single colourway then trust me, I would *dreamy sigh*

Do you find jeans shopping a complete pain? I am so relieved that this time it has been completely pain free for me. I could definitely get used to this! Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m off to do the I-have-jeans-that-actually-fit-me-perfectly-dance without any fear of them falling down. Always a bonus.
