What I Wore Wednesday

It’s Wednesday..

..so it’s what I wore

Grey cowl neck maxi dress – Gap, bright yellow sandals – SaltWater, Sweetie charm and Sweetie Candy Hearts bracelets – both Links of London, watch – Michael Kors, silver ‘S’ necklace (a birthday gift from forever ago so I can’t remember where it was from I’m afraid!)

Another week, another maxi dress from Gap. This is starting to become a bit of a habit isn’t it? Ha! I bought this in the sale this week though and it was reduced to less than twenty pounds. Some really great bargains to be had in there at the moment I do love a Gap sale. This is a lovely casual dress though and perfect for everyday wear. It has a tie waist which is great for adding a little shape as I find that I get a bit lost in straight up and down maxis and they make my mummy tummy look even bigger than it already is. I like the little cap sleeves and cowl neck too. I actually bought it thinking that the grey marl colour would make it perfect for layering with a denim jacket or cardigan as let’s face it, we’re not having much of a summer so far are we? I thought this was a great way of wearing a summer dress but without looking like too much of a numpty on days when it is, well, not very summery. I refuse to wear skinnies forever more. Summer is for dresses even if they are ankle length and worn with a scarf and a denim jacket!

You might have read my post yesterday about my beloved SaltWater sandals and man alive do I love these shoes! The yellow clashes brilliantly with everything I own including this grey dress. Did I mention that I love them? Ha!
