It’s Wednesday..
..so it’s what I wore
Black drop waist dress – La Redoute, black opaques – Marks and Spencer, watch – Michael Kors, Jalouse Spiral ankle boots – Ash (not seen)
La Redoute is one of those shops that I forget how much I love until I go back to shop with them if that makes sense? I haven’t bought anything from them in ages but they lured me back with a ridiculously good offer of something like ‘spend £100 and get £50 off’ so I thought I would take a look as the kids needed some new pyjamas. And then of course I accidentally bought some bits for me too. With an offer like that. it would have been rude not to, right?
This drop waist dress was one of the things I treated myself to and it’s not a style that I would usually pick but actually, I really like it on. It is a black floaty cotton so a nice relaxed fit and perfect as a day dress. I love the little white lightning bolt pattern and balloon sleeves. It’s perfect for throwing on with thick opaques and ankle boots. I really like how even the most simple of dresses like this can make you feel put together but with absolutely zero effort. It’s hard enough prising myself out of bed on these dark mornings as it is (especially now the winter duvet is out) but not having to think too hard about what I am going to wear is always a bonus. Dress, tights, boots, and I’m ready to go!
